Barbara Ann Bockhorn passed away on March 27, 2024, in Desoto, Texas. She was born on October 3, 1949, in Austin County to parents Willie Brenner and Gladys Witte Brenner. She married Larry Charles Bockhorn on August 5, 1972, at the First United Methodist Church of Bellville, Texas and they had two sons Michael Charles Bockhorn and Jeffery Brent Bockhorn.

She was baptized, confirmed, and married in the First United Methodist Church of Bellville, Texas. She graduated from Bellville High School, attended Blinn College, and graduated college from Sam Houston State University. She spent time working for the following school districts as a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher; Bryan College Station, La Marque, TX, Angleton, TX, Sulphur Springs, TX and Gainesville, TX.

Barbara enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club of Gainesville, TX. She also enjoyed watching college football on Saturdays and the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays, sitting outside on the back porch playing with her dogs, and watching birds and the nature around her.

Barbara is survived by her husband Larry, of Ennis, TX, her son Michael of Rowlett, TX, brother Glenn Brenner, wife Betty of Brenham, TX, sister-in-law Kay Brenner of Bellville, TX, sister-in-law Karen Rombach, husband Dale of Spring, TX, sister-in-law Susan Bockhorn of Huntsville, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Jeffery, father Willie, mother Gladys, brother James Brenner and brother-in-law Marvin Bockhorn.

Pallbearers: Greg Brenner, Jim Brenner, Jeb Brenner, Sean Rombach, Danny Steck and Matthew Steck.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jake Brenner, Kristy Brenner, Lisa Steck and Morgan Steck.

Funeral Services will be held at the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, in Bellville, TX on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, with a Visitation from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Funeral Service at 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM, followed by Interment at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society.
