This is the individual who, during air force training, fell out of his double open cockpit plane during air turbulence. He had unbuckled his seat belt to retrieve his earphones from the floor when the trainer threw the plane into a dive to "teach him a lesson." Vic flew up into the air, being tossed into a somersault with a half twist. He then felt the tail of the plane under him, and rode it until it landed, keeping his feet elevated so as not to tangle in the exterior rudder controls. His story appeared in Ripley's Believe It Or Not, although the part played by his instructor was edited out. |
