Memorial mass for Mrs. Lorraine Huber, 80, will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept, 12th, 2014, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Community located at 1530 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX. Family will receive friends following the service in the family life center. Mrs. Lorraine Huber passed away August 30, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital of Katy due to complications of a recent cancer surgery. She was born May 24th, 1934 in Berwyn, Ill. to Max and Mary Francetic. Lorraine graduated from J. Sterling Morton High School in 1952. She attended college at Morton Jr. College. Following graduation she was employed for many years as a retail salesperson at Marshall Field's Department Store in Chicago. In 1981, she moved with her husband, Ralph, to Katy, TX. She was employed for many, many years as a successful "new" home sales consultant with numerous home builders in the Houston area. She went on to retire from Ryland Homes in 2000. Her interests included charity work with St. Vincent DePaul society and volunteering at the Memorial Hermann Hospital gift shop. She "loved" cruising around the world, playing bridge, and was active in Katy AARP and Katy Senior Center. She was survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ralph L. Huber; brother, Jeffrey O'Connor; sons, James Matousek and his wife, Julie, Thomas Matousek and his wife, Thu, Michael Matousek and his wife, Cindy; stepson, Karl of Pittsburg, PA; grandchildren, Jennifer, Derek, and Abigail; great-granddaughter, Alexis, and many friends. Flowers for the funeral mass may be sent to Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Community located at 1530 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX.
