Mrs. Mary Brandt Funeral Service Funeral services for Mis. Joe (Mary) Brandt, 67, of Sealy were held Monday. Sept. 22 from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev. Paul McCallun celebrating the Mass of the Resurrection. The KJZT of Sealy prayed the rosary Sunday at S p.m. from the chapel of the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home, followed by the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Pallbearers for the service were: Rudy Zalesak. Delmar Susen, Johnnie Konarik. Randy Hinze, Eugene Krchnak. Adrian Kutra. Johnnie' Brandt and Dennis Mlcak. Burial was at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Miss Mary Kutra was born on Christmas day in 1918 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kutra in the Frydek Community. She was raised in Frydek, where the attended school. After her first husband, Willie Machala, died in 1952, she married Joe Brandt on May 7, 1955 in Sealy and spent the rest of her life as a homemaker in Sealy. Mrs. Brandt was a member of the KJZT of Sealy and the Altar Society of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and was also a member of the same church. Mrs. Brandt died Sept. 20, 1986 at Bellville General Hospital. Survivors include: husband, Joe Brandt of Sealy; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Lloyd Koeppen of Sealy, Bea and Victor Filip of Wallis; son and daughter-inlaw, Joe Jr. and Donna Brandt of Sealy; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Johnnie Konarik of Sealy; grandchildren, Mark and Brenda Koeppen, Nancy Urbish and Kim Filip, Aaron and Colby Brandt; and one great grandchild, Cassie Urbish. She was preceded in death by her parents. |
