Guadalupe E. Solis, 94, passed away in Katy, Texas at Methodist West Houston Hospital on April 20, 2016. She was born in Bastrop, Texas on September 26, 1921 to Estonsilado Espinoza and Felipa Rodriguez.
She was a very loving and strong woman with a very big heart. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She had eleven children, two passed away in infancy, and raised nine consisting of six boys and three girls. She loved to read her Bible every morning and watch her Spanish soap operas in the afternoon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lupe Solis, Sr.; her brothers and sisters; sons, Joe and Jesse Solis; and granddaughter, Melissa. She is survived by daughters, Marcella Sosa, Marie Perez and husband, Martin, Helen Jasek and husband, Patrick; and raised her granddaughter as her own, Theresa Martinez and husband Christopher; sons, Robert Solis, Frank Solis and wife, Gloria, Lupe Solis, Jr. and wife, Valerie, Tony Solis and wife, Paula; and many many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Jacob Ramirez, Jesse Solis, Jr., Ryan Solis, Bryan Solis, Joshua Solis and Martin Perez III. Honorary pallbearers: Steve Garza and Jacob Solis. Visitation is scheduled for Monday April 25, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Knesek Bros. Hwy 36 Chapel, 1140 Meyer Street in Sealy. A rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2016, at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 Fourth Street, with Rev. Eric Pitre officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. |
