Doris M. (Holub) Zapalac, 77, of Sealy, Texas, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, went to eternally be with The Lord on July 2, 2010, surrounded by her entire family. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Wallis, Texas, to Peter and Annie Holub. She married Joe C. Zapalac, on August 16, 1953, in Sealy, Texas, where she continued to live until her death.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Connie Mewis and husband, Paul, Ricky Zapalac, Debbie Melton and husband, David, Annette Mooney and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Carol Franklin and husband, Mike, Christie Mewis, Melissa Gonzalez and husband, Joe, Matthew Mooney, Matthew Melton, Benjamin Mooney, Clay Zapalac, and Chelsey Gouti; great-grandchildren, Mollie and Braden Franklin; sister, Bessie Zbranek; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Ann Palmer, Verna Holub and Inoc Minks; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Knesek Funeral Home Hwy. 36 Chapel in Sealy, Texas on July 5, 2010, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A vigil service will follow at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held July 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, Texas.
