The Galveston Daily News, August 1, 1983:
Services for Mary B. Hess, 81, a retired schoolteacher and homemaker, will be at 3 this afternoon at St. John's Episcopal Church in Sealy, the Rev. Jack W. Langford officiating. Burial will be at Sealy Cemetery in Sealy, under direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home of Texas City. Ms. Hess died Saturday at Danford Memorial Hospital in Texas City. She was born Oct. 17, 1901 in Eufaula, Ala. Survivors include a son, Dr. Fred Hackbarth of Texas City; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Visitors may call at the funeral home from 8-11 this morning. |
