Louise S. LaGarde, 100, passed away on May 12, 2015 in Kerrville. Louise Stringer was born on Feb. 3, 1915 in Texas City, Galveston County, Texas to Mary Elizabeth (Herpin) and Lucius Travis Stringer. Louise married Everette LaGarde on April 30, 1934 in Houston and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter in 1946, Dian LaGarde. Louise and Everett lived for many years in the Houston area where Everett was a contractor. He built the Methodist Church in Almeda and they were long standing members. They eventually moved south and opened a large boat yard and sold boats. They lived on a river for several years there before "retiring" to the Hill Country. Louise was very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville. She enjoyed playing dominos (42) with friends. She dedicated much of her time to volunteering at Hilltop Village. Louise was an amazing lady and loved her family greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fran Allison; husband, Everette S. LaGarde; and daughter, Dian LaGarde Shirley.

Louise is survived by her loving grandchildren, Rene Kosatka, Tim Kosatka, David Shirley, and Vincent Shirley; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kimball, Ryan Haagensen, Meghanne Shirley, Colton Shirley, Jace Shirley, Bryn Shirley, Caleb Kosatka, Makala Kosatka, Cieanna Kosatka, and Cody Anderson. She will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
