Mr. Kveton passed away in the Santa Fe Railroad Hospital in Temple at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 1971. He had been in failing health for the past two years.

Pallbearers were Jack Hillboldt, Ed Hinze, Charles Hinze, Leonard Hintz, Marvin Sens, and Leonard Abel. Pallbearers at the cemetery were Masonic Lodge members J.K. Hillboldt, E.M. Hinze, W.R. Krampitz, Jessie Goody, Curtis Hillboldt, and Leo Campbell. Worshipful Master T.B. Simmons of Dayton was in charge.

Born in Peters on October 28, 1889, Mr. Kveton was reared in Sealy and educated in the Sealy Public Schools. He was employed as a bridge and building foreman for the Santa Fe RR for more than 49 years.

On January 9, 1918, he was married to the former Miss Della Sailer in ceremonies performed in Sealy. The couple were parents of two sons, J.D. Kveton, Jr. of Lake Jackson and Warren R. Kveton of Highlands, both of whom are survivors. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Jack Kveton of Sealy, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kveton was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired member of the Sealy Masonic Lodge.
