Gertrude Ruth Hillebrand, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother & great grandmother.
Gertie was born January 29, 1926 in Galveston, TX and passed away May 8, 2016 in Plano, TX. Gertie was a graduate of Galveston Ball High School and was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. For the last fourteen years, she had resided in Plano and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Gertie's beloved husband of 55 years, Raymond, preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by two sons, Charles and Edward; their wives Linda and Lana; and Raymond and Gertrude's five grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Antonio, Andrew, Lindsay, Rachael, and Sarah; and great-grandson Kyle; Gertie's niece, Myrna Ashorn and her son, Chris, and his wife, Jacki, and their daughter, Kolbi. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon, May 14, 2016, from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel on 4th Street followed by a memorial service at 3:30 and graveside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gertie's name to Faith Lutheran School of Plano, 1701 East Park Blvd., Plano, Texas 75074. (972) 423-7448. |
