Margie Engelke entered her heavenly home on December 31, 2015.

A visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 4, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Sealy Cemetery, Sealy, Texas.

She was born the first of seven children to Mary Louise Parker White and Orley Raymond White on October 13, 1929 in Simonton, Texas, what was then known as the Brazos River Bottom.

Her early years were spent in Missouri City, Texas with her mother and father, two brothers and four sisters.

She graduated from Missouri City High School and Draughon’s Business College in Houston.

She was employed by Gulf Oil Corp and Jefferson Chemical Company in Houston.

She met and later married Clarence Engelke from Sealy, Texas on August 29, 1962. They lived in Houston and Richardson, then transferring to Midland in 1968.

She loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a devout Christian and a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed league bowling.

She loved music, reading and singing with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence and daughter, Paula, also brothers Darrell Raymond White and Kenneth White, sister Margaret Bell Medve and great granddaughter Angel Marie Engelke.

Surviving are her son, Paul Engelke and wife, Ida, daughter, Holly Walker, granddaughter, Jamie Nicholas and husband, Joe, all of Midland, Texas, stepdaughter, Louise Andrews and husband, Dale of Tuttle, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Kari Engelke of Loving, New Mexico, Kaci and Kali Engelke, Braden and Bonny Walker all of Midland, Texas, Darren and Daniel Andrews of Oklahoma, great grandchildren, Corey and Tyler Nicholas of Midland, Texas, Trent Echavarria and R.J. Echavarria of Loving, New Mexico, Terran and Kayson Scurlark of Midland, Texas and Dallas and Leah of Oklahoma, sisters, Bessie White, and Lavada Fuller of Missouri City, Texas and Diane Kure of Brenham, Texas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
