OBITUARY FROM THE SEALY NEWS:

Funeral Services for Fritz Kramer, 74, Held Here Friday

Funeral services for Fritz Kramer were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26 from the Chapel of the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home here with Etlinger Funeral Home directing, the Rev. H. G. McMillian officiating.

Burial was in the Sealy Cemetery. Presentation of the flag was made by members of the American Legion Post 442 of Sealy. Pallbearers were Melvin Preuss, Lee Allen Preuss, Larry Preuss, Herbert Kramer, Lee Roy Kramer and Melvin Kramer.

Deceased was born in Brenham on October 1, 1887, attended school in Brenham and Washington County, and was reared in Brenham. On March 23, 1918, he was married to Miss Lena Mesecke in Richmond. HIs occupation was farming. He lived in Needville until 1950, when he retired and moved to Sealy. He was a member of the American Legion Sealy Post 442 and was of the Lutheran faith.

Mr. Kramer passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Houston on January 24 attaining the age of 74 years, 3 months and 23 days. He had been in failing health since November 1961.

Survivors, besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Preuss of Almeda and Mrs. Ida Beckman of Sealy; two sons, Arnold H. Kramer of Baycliff and Raymond L. Kramer of Sealy; one sister, Miss Bertha Kramer of Needville; two brothers, Louis and Gus Kramer of Needville; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His parents, one daughter, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
