Peggy L. Jurek of Sealy, Texas passed away on July 19th, 2022. Peggy was born on January 6, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Jerry and Dolores Cain. Peggy grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended Dulles High School She was visiting Grandpa "Mutt" Kveton in Sealy, Texas where she met her husband, Ben "Fox" Jurek, from Sealy, Texas. Peggy and Ben were married on June 18, 1983 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. David Ebert.
Peggy worked for many different State Farm agents from 1980 until 2000 where she was a secretary and policy writer, then moved into the healthcare field working for Concept of Care from 2000 to 2008. From 2008 to 2014, she worked for the Chamber of Commerce. In 2014 to present, she was a partner of All Texas Title. Peggy recently worked for a couple of years for the Austin County Appraisal District. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Kaden and Madilynne Jurek. Peggy had a very big heart and she cared more for other people than herself. She loved crafting, fishing, and spending time in the pools with her family. Peggy has volunteered for many organizations, including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Relay for Life, Fantasy of Lights, Austin County Crime Stoppers, and the American Legion to name a few. Peggy is survived by her husband, Ben "Fox" Jurek and son, Michael A Jurek and Jessica Moore; grandchildren, Kaden A Jurek and Madilynne E Jurek; dog, Gizmo; sister, Pamela Gail Cain Epperly; nephews, James Bradley Sneed, Ben Anthony Epperly and wife, Marquie Epperly; niece, Rachel Ann Epperly Hilson; great-nephews and nieces, Zabein Edward Allen, Clayton Benjamin Sneed, Charles Anthony Arriaga, and Ellen Jean Hilson. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, C. Jerry and Dolores A. Kveton Cain; grandparents, Evan Cain, Lee Ola Cain, Forest "Mutt" Kveton, and Doris Kveton. The family would like to express a special thank you to Rev. Kenneth Bersche, Henry Jurek, Edmund and Joan Jurek, Mandy Cano, Darris Lewis, and Ben Lewis. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Atchison St., Sealy, TX 77474, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers: James Sneed, Ben Epperly, Zabein Allen, Clayton Sneed, Charlie Arriaga, Darris Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers: Edmund Jurek and Henry Jurek. Memorial Donations: Trinity Lutheran Church. |
