Manuel Garza, age 49, peacefully passed away at home on August 11th, 2022. He was born on October 19, 1972 in Sealy Texas where he also married his wife, Angelica Herrera Ramirez, raised his two daughters, Angela and Alexis Garza, and spoiled his granddaughter, Dayalina A. Torres Garza.
Manuel was a caring, fun, helpful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, a proud father that made sure to be present for all of his daughter's events. Also supported his wife through everything. Manuel owned his own tire shop for a few years before he started working in Pattison, TX in HDH Instrumental as a machinist for over a decade. He made many friends there and loved what he did before he had to retire early due to his illness. Manuel accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in 2008 and since then had made sure to spread His word and do missionary work with the church, taking what they can to indigenous places in Mexico and other places. He was someone who would put others before him, helping others also participated in the church's youth group however he could. Many would say he was young at heart. He made many friends along the way due to his charisma, as he enjoyed riding his bike around town and going to the park to play soccer and basketball with anyone that was up to the "challenge", as he would say. He loved making jokes and making everyone laugh; he was also a proud UT longhorns fan, always wearing a hat or shirt representing his team. Even when his illness weakened him along the way, his faith in God became stronger because he knew who he believed in and where he was going to spend his life eternity with. Some of his favorite phrases were "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good" , "His mercy is greater than life", and "Everything that breathes, praise the Lord". One of the last words he said before passing was, "God is with me". Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Knesek Family Funeral Chapel, 768 4th Street, Sealy, Texas 77474. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Jesus Christ Is The Answer To The World, 626 Meyer St. in Sealy. Burial will be in Sealy Cemetery. |
