Louise Lummus Kuchara passed away July 15, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born March 26, 1928 in Waco, Texas to parents J. G. Lummus Sr. and Myrtle Haley Lummus.
She enjoyed spending time with family, being outdoors, and in her younger years hunting, fishing, and shrimping with her husband. She always had a smile on her face and loved everyone. She retired from Levine Brothers in Sealy, Texas where she worked for over 20 years. Louise was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Woodmen of the World. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, H. J. (Kuch) Kuchara; her parents; brothers, J.G. Lummus, Jr. and Bob W. Lummus; sisters, Gloria Magile, Myrtle Giddens, and Dorothy Ford. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Bobby Phillips, and Bonnie and Ronnie Smith; granddaughters, Nancy and Jay LeJeune, Kim and Joey Pekar, and Kristi and Rodney Malone; great-grandsons, Ryan Struass and Hudson Malone; and great-granddaughters, Hannah Pekar, Harley, and Harper Malone; sisters, Zoe Ann Kiesewetter and Jo Nell Cooper; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Sealy, 200 Atchison Street, Sealy, Texas 77474, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Sealy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Sealy, Texas. |
