Jim Trammel, 70, of Sealy, and longtime former resident of Pasadena, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, in Pasadena. He was born to parents, Auta and Lillie (Calaham) Trammel in Casa Grande, Arizona. His parent were migrant farmers so they moved around a lot. He graduated from high school in Wichita Falls, Texas. On January 20, 1961, Mr. Jim Trammel was joined in marriage to the former Miss Lucy Ann Compton with a ceremony held in Pasadena. They made their home in Pasadena and raised their two children there. Jim worked as a Soils Engineer for many years. He was a member of Parker Chapel, AME where he served as a Deacon and a Board Member.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucy Ann Compton Trammel of Sealy; daughter, Sonia Emmons and husband, Paul, of Pasadena; son, Jimmy A. Trammel and wife, Lisa, of Houston; brother, Robert Henley and wife, Myrtie, of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tiffani Blaine, Ashley Patterson, and Audy Trammel; great-grandchildren, Hadin Lee Blaine, Cole James Blaine, and Makenzie Kay Patterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Auta and Lilly Trammel; brothers, Leo Henley, Gale Douglas Trammel, and Phillip Don Trammel.
