CLIFTON DALE STUESSEL, 91, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, in New Braunfels.
He was born August 10, 1931, in Cat Spring, Texas, the son of Theodore and Annie Bender Stuessel. He grew up and attended schools in the Cat Spring area. Clifton was united in marriage to Florine Severin, on January 15, 1941, in Sealy, Texas. They moved to Cat Spring from Sealy, then Round Rock, and Rockdale, before calling New Braunfels home. Clifton was employed as a parts technician of heavy agriculture machinery. He was a member of the Sons of Herman and was on the Board of Directors for Texas Farm Bureau, Cat Spring Agricultural Hall and a member of the Cat Spring fire department. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his cattle, gardening, and playing dominos. Clifton is survived by his loving wife: Florine Stuessel of New Braunfels; daughter: Debra Ramirez of Alleyton; son: Kenny Brast and his wife, Jennifer, of Austin; three grandchildren: Garrett Brast, Dylan Brast, and Breanna Brast; one great grandson: Leon Leach; and numerous other family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Laura Stuessel; and his parents: Theodore and Annie Stuessel.
