Robert Wayne Reinicke, 69, lifelong resident of Bellville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his home. Robert was born Aug. 6, 1944, in Bellville. The son of Charles Jacob and Hilda (Wietstruck) Reinicke, he grew up and attended the Bellville public schools, graduating from Bellville High School in 1962. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Robert then attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Engineering. Robert was employed as a chemical engineer before going on to work in the gasoline kiosk at the local Brookshire Bros. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. Robert is survived by his aunt Wilma (Wietstruck) Voss; his nine first cousins William Wietstruck, Jim Wietstruck, David Warmke, Pat O’Brien, Mary Miller, Nancy Warmke, Beverly Hogan, Jimmie Reinicke, Janet Warmke; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hilda Reinicke. Family was present to receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville. Funeral Service followed at 1 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Walter J. Miller officiating. Interment followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Wietstruck, Terry Wietstruck, Bill Wietstruck, Jimmy George Reinicke, Jim Wietstruck and Marty O’Brien. Honorary pallbearers were David Warmke and Eric Wietstruck.
