Oakland Newsy Notes Relatives and friends here regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Nancy Reese, whose death was reported in Austin County. She for years resided in this section. This is Nancy Whittington Rees wife of Fleming Sanders Rees. The Rees family, along with several other Whittingtons and allied families, came to Austin County in the 1850's, and settled near Welcome and Industry. Nancy is buried in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville, near her son, Kinion Wilkerson Rees. Posted by Deborah Smith |
