Laurie Norris age 77, passed away May 23, 2013 at her home in Bellville. Laurie married Wayne Norris on Aug. 28, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas. She worked at Prudential Insurance Company in Houston while Wayne earned his degree in dentistry. They lived in Houston for many years where Wayne had his dental practice before moving it to Waller. They lived in Katy, Pattison and finally made their home in Bellville where they made many wonderful friends. Laurie was a member of Bellville United Methodist Church and Community Bible Study which she looked forward to each week. Spending time with and caring for all four of her grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness. She had a special relationship with each one. In her spare time she loved to read, sometimes a book a day. Laurie is survived by her husband, Dr. Wayne Norris; daughters, April White and husband Stephen and Julie Casady and husband Joe; sister, Sharla Rich; grandchildren, Guy and Clay White and Jeana and Jason Casady. She is preceded in death by brother, Lynn Houser and sister, Clorette Cunningham. Funeral services were Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Bellville United Methodist Church: 234 S. Masonic St. in Bellville at 11 a.m. with Pastor Amy Haralson officiating. Posted by Joy Neely |
