Howell Edward Mount (Howie) of Houston passed away on March 10, 2013 at the age of 91.

Howie was born in Philadelphia, Penn. on July 5, 1921. His family left Pennsylvania and moved to Texas when he was a young boy. He lived most of his life in Houston. He was a graduate of University of Houston with a BA degree in Architecture.

Howie was also a talented artist. He served in the Marine Corps for 4 years in the Pacific during WW II.

Howie was preceded in death by his parents, George Allen and Letha Turner Mount, his brother Dickie (age 4) and his sisters, Dona Mount and Jeannine Mount Patterson and her husband David Paterson of Navasota.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marion Magill Mount, daughters Glenn Mount, Cheryl Mount Dubroc and husband Ron Dubroc, son Howell Mount Jr., granddaughters Michelle Dubroc Reed and husband Timothy Reed, Danielle Dubroc and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to all the staff at Autumn Leaves of Meyerland for all their loving care and Blue Bonnet Palliative care for their kind support.

A visitation began at 1 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. on Saturday March 16, 2013 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Ave.
