Minar, Carol
Obituary

Bellville Times

Carol was called to join her mother on Tuesday Nov. 26, 2013. Carol spent much of her time doing advocacy work for animal rights, and even helped to establish the Millie Bush Dog Park in Houston, Texas. She spent many years making the canine population look their “Red Carpet” best with her grooming business, the PAWPAW Patch, at which she later added K9 Motivations training so that all dogs learned to behave their best, and even taught some owners how to behave toward their dog. She was gifted in helping the owner and dog understand each other to achieve a healthy and loving relationship. She spent decades working and playing in all manner of dog organizations from confirmation & obedience to Schutzhund to agility, flyball, and anything advocating for her beloved rottweilers.

In addition to her love for her canine companions, she was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jason and Scott Minar, and loving wife to husband Paul.

Carol had many passions, her family first and foremost, as well as a deep love of Blues music, traveling to beautiful locations to revere in God’s mystical creations, her beloved dogs, and, of course, watching her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews grow and learn. She was always a sympathetic ear with a kind word to all. Those who had the privilege to meet and know Carol know that they experienced someone special.

Carol was born in Houston, and lived most of her adult life in Bellville with her loving family. She was proceeded in death by her mother Bertha Lou Lobit.

Carol is survived by her husband Paul Minar Jr. and two sons: Jason Minar and spouse Tonya, Scott Minar and spouse Brianne; and grandson Bryson Minar and granddaughter Sabrina; her twin sister Cheryl Trotter and family of Katy; her brother Mike Lobit and family of Rowlett; and her aunts Char Lobit, Marjie Lobit, and Carla Wollard; and many cousins.
