He was born October, 28, 1840 in Lippe, Detmold, Westphaleu, Deutschland. Theodore Boedeker (from Hanover) and Augusta Amalia Roesler (from Saxony), Theodore and 4 brothers that came over at various times from 1850-1870. Theodore and Augusta were married in January 25, 1869 in Austin Co. and moved to near Gay Hill, Washington Co., Texas. They had four children. Auguste died December 23, 1892. He married Anna "Annie" Machemehl Roesler in January 18, 1894. She had four children from a previous marriage and they had four more. He was a farmer and church trusee at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Gay Hill, Washington Co., Texas
