Father of Truman Jr., Pat Krupala and James Laminack Our dad was born July 23, 1918 in Heflin Alabama and joined our Lord Jesus on March 1 2014. He was buried on March 6th, with full military honors in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Houston, Texas. The flag and shell casing from the 21-gun salute were presented to his oldest son, Truman Jr. He was preceded in death by our mother, Mildred E. Smith Laminack, five brothers, four sisters and one great-grandson. Mom and Dad were married for fifty-five years. Truman was a World War ll Navy veteran and served in a Blimp Squadron providing submarine patrol for departing ships. He was a long time resident of Kenney, Texas and owned and operated the Kenney Store and service station for many years. He is survived by one brother, Leroy, and one sister, Helen, three children and their spouses: Truman Jr., and Susan, Pat Krupala and Paul, Jim and Sheryl; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Shellie and Tom McGourty, Angie and Derrick Robbins, Tasha and John Nissen, Barry and Nora Laminack, Robert and Erica Mercer, Tammy and Brande Robinson, Laura and Shane Laminack and Ashley and Shane Ceren. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Taylor Robbins, Brooke Robinson, Meagan McGourty, Garrett Robinson, JT Nissen, Maddie Nissen, Bradley Ceren, Mae Mercer and Braylin Griffin. Pallbearers were Robert Mercer, Barry Laminack, Tom McGourty, John Nissen, Brande Robinson, and Shane Ceren. Honorary Pallbearers included: Garrett Robinson, JT nissen, Bradley Ceren and Braylin Griffin. God saw that he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be; so He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away; Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best! Rest in Peace, Dad, you will be missed!
