Funeral services for State Representative Dan Kubiak, 60, was at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Rockdale.

Graveside service is 3 p.m. in the State Cemetery in Austin.

Father Paul McCullum, Father Lonnie Urban and Bishop John McCarthy officiated.

Mr. Kubiak died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998 at his home in Rockdale.

He was born Daniel James Kubiak on March 9, 1938 in Reagan, Texas, the son of John T. and Connie (Snider) Kubiak.

He served as a Texas State Representative for 21 years, from 1969-83 and from 1991-98.

Mr Kubiak was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockdale and president of Reagan 4-H Club in Reagan, Texas.

He is survived by his sons Kelly Dan Kubiak of Dallas and Kody Earl Kubiak of Rockdale; a daughter, Alyssa Lea Kubiak of Rockdale; parents John T. and Connie Kubiak of Rockdale; brothers, Leonard P. Kubiak of Rockdale, L. B. Kubiak of Rockdale and Richard Kubiak of Giddings; a sister, Shirley Ann Stewart of Rockdale.

Mr Kubiak was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Cundieff on May 3, 1997.

Serving as pallbears were Leonard Kubiak, L. B. Kubiak, Richard Kubiak, Kenneth Bounds, Delbert Yarbrough, Hal Stanislaw, Bill Stegemueller, Steve Smith, Ken Stone, Johnny Clark, Mike Buzbee and Leroy Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Rychlik, Don Strickland, Leroy Dreyer, Dr. Bill Roman, Dr. Omar Garza, Lane Zivley, Walter Schwartz, Ricky Stewart and Newton Cundieff.
