Jerry Layne Jasek was born to Frank J. and Martha (Washam) Jasek on September 26, 1946 in Buckhorn. He passed away on Nov. 29, 2013. He grew up in the Buckhorn area and attended Bellville schools. After High School graduation, Jerry worked in the oil field industry. He then obtained his Masters Electrician’s certification and was a highly respected electrician. He retired to become a Farmer/Rancher, which was what he loved the most. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha “Varnell” Jasek, brother, William Terrell Jasek and nephew, “P.J.” Paul Burke, Jr. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Jasek of Bryan; son, Jared Jasek of Bellville; niece, Melissa Burke and husband Paul of Buckhorn; great nephews, Justin and Weston Heathcott and Quinten Bilski; great nieces, Mackenzie, Mckenna and Regan Burke and grandchildren, Noah and Kasey Jasek. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 until Funeral Service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 842, E. Main St., Bellville. Pallbearers: Jared Lee Jasek, Robert “Bobcat” Fick, Dustin “Roads” Supak, Gene “Zipper” Zapalac, Bill Johnson, Cary “Zelz” Oswald, Jack Rosinski and Elvis “Muddy” Lunsford.
