ANDREW SCOTT HIGHSMITH, 34, of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

He was born June 6, 1988, in Tomball, Texas, the son of Ray Arthur and Deanna Hutsen Highsmith. Andrew grew up and attended schools in the Tomball area, graduating from Tomball High School in 2006. He was a member of the Tomball High School cheerleading team. The team went to state two years in a row. After graduating, Andrew enrolled at Legacy Beauty Academy. In 2020, he moved to Houston. Andrew was employed as a hairdresser/barber for the last few years. In his younger years, he enjoyed cheerleading, art, gymnastics, going to the beach, and rodeo art. As an adult he became an avid lover of aquariums, designing and building tanks for his favorite Oscar fish.

Andrew is survived by his parents: Ray and Deanna Highsmith of Magnolia; sister: Rachel Mendoiza and her husband, Jeff, of Shenandoah; brother: Bradley Miller of Houston; niece: Raven Rodgers of Shenandoah; grandmother: Linda Hutsen of Tomball; life partner: Arthur Vasquez of Houston; mother-in-law: Judy Vasquez of Houston; and numerous other family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his aunt: LaCarol Caubarreaux; grandmother: Erma Wilder; grandmother: Patti Highsmith; grandfather: Clifford Caubarreaux; and grandfather: Calvin Highsmith; and grandfather: Jerry Hutsen.

Pallbearers are Bradley Miller, Jeff Mendoiza, Brevin Villanueva, Cody Schulin, Fernando Villanueva, and Theron Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers are Raven Rodgers, Briana Villanueva, Kaylie Smith, Ashley Calhoun, and Chelsey Harmon.
