Service was held for Mr. Willie Herman Hartmann, Dec. 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Miller-Josey Mortuary Chapel, Bellville. Service was conducted by Reverend Bill Schwertlich of St. John Lutheran Church, Bellville, Texas

Willie Herman Hartmann of Waco, Texas, formerly of Cat Spring passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in Waco. Willie was born on Aug. 18, 1929 to the late Carl and Louise Brast Hartmann.

Willie met the love of his life, Alva Winchester. To this union two children were born, a son and a daughter.

Willie was a Lutheran by faith. He grew up in the Cat Spring community. He enjoyed fishing.

At a young age, Willie and his family moved to Houston. He worked as a machinist for many years. His company moved to Clifford, Texas, which is close to Waco. Willie continued working as a machinist for the same company.

Willie is preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Alva Winchester Hartmann, his son, Larry Hartmann, brother, Eddie Hartmann and a sister, Walden Richard.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellan Hartmann Tones (Paul), brother, Charlie Hartmann, sister, Hilda Brast, granddaughter, Paula Tones, grandson, Carl Tones, great granddaughter, Sarah Heitman and a great, great grandson, Zachary Tones.
