Services for Edgar H. Uhlig of Cat Spring were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 1990, from the Etlinger Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with Rev. Ann Ward officiating. Interment was in CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny Cemetery in Cat Spring.
Pallbearers were Larry Uhlig, Alan Uhlig, Wayne Uhlig, Billy Findeisen, Edward Machinsky, Lee Kveton and Allan Ladig. Honorary pallbearers were John Wendel, George Sebesta and William Konesheck. Born in Cat Spring, April 18, 1901, Edgar Uhlig attended Bretschneider-Cat Spring Schools in the community where he was reared. On December 6, 1927 he married Elsie Hoppe. He was a water well driller and a farmer and rancher. Uhlig died in the Columbus Hospital at 10:58 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, following a lengthy illness. Survivors besides his wife are one granddaughter, Dyanna Machinsky; great-granddaughter, Brittany Machinsky; nephew Alan Uhlig, and one brother, Leander Uhlig, all of Cat Spring.
