Ida Mae Reddick passed away on August 31, 2023 in College Station, Texas at Baylor Scott & White Hospital at the age of 96. Ida Mae was born to Willie and Elda Hegemeyer in New Ulm, Texas on May 15, 1927, and graduated from high school in the eleventh grade as they did in those days, and moved to Houston at the age of 18 where she met Clifford "Kip" Arthur Reddick. They married on November 4, 1946, and together they enjoyed 70 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories.

After marrying, Ida Mae eventually settled into a position with Tenneco where she built an impressive career and family of lifelong friends that spanned a notable 50 years. Upon retirement, Ida Mae returned to her hometown of New Ulm and quickly became known for her love of crafting and baking. She used her many talents to support her community through various committees, charities, numerous awards, and being in service of others which was very near and dear to her heart.

Survived by one son, Wilbur "Bill" and wife, Marilyn Reddick; one daughter, Dorothy and husband, Doyle Sanders; four grandchildren, Ronnie Greenhouse Jr., Celece Reddick, Sunnie Sidera, and Cliff Reddick; six great-grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford "Kip" Reddick; and sister and brother-in-law, Verlien and Kermit Kolwes.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Oak Haven of New Ulm for the amazing support, care, and assistance provided; Pastor Ivy Schultz of St. John Lutheran Church New Ulm, Texas for her prayers, fellowship, and last respects paid to Ida Mae and the family in the hospital before she returned to her heavenly home; and finally, the amazing community that has loved and cherished Ida Mae throughout her long and full life. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 342 E. Main, Bellville, TX. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at St John's Lutheran Church, 211 Hickory Rd. in New Ulm, TX. Burial will be at Star Hill Cemetery in New Ulm. A reception will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Fellowship Hall.

Memorials may be made to St John's Lutheran Church.
