Ferdinand Zahradnick was born February 4, 1877 in Weimar, Fayette County, and died at the age of 42 years at Fairchild, Fort Bend County, Texas.

At the age of 8 years he moved with his parents from Weimar to our County, where the family located on the farm in Rexville District.

Ferd grew to his manhood on the home farm and married at the age of 26 Miss Mary Hinze.

He sold his farm here and moved to Fort Bend County, where he died of heart failure, following influenza and pneumonia.

He left a widdow with 3 children, oldest Josephine, 16 years old, Alfred 13, and David 5, also aged father and mother. Four sisters, Mrs. W. M. Hinze of Nottawa, Texas, Mrs. Fred Thompson of Sealy, Mrs. John Bushnell of Keytville, Missouri. Also 2 brothers, John and Emil, who both served in the army and were honorably discharged in January this year.

The deceased man was a member of S.P.J.S.T. and Herman Soehne Lodge at Fairchild.

He was buried in the Sealy Cemetery, Saturday, March 29, 1919.
