Obituary Mr. Lester Fisher

Funeral services for Lester Fisher of Bellville were held from the Chapel of the Pete F. Etlinger Funeral Home in Bellville at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, with Rev. Alvis Bell officiating. Interment was in the Oak Knoll Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Archie Gray, Andrew Gray, Paul Krupala, H. A. Bradshaw, Robert Acock, Jr., and Arthur Tarber.

Mr. Fisher passed away in the Bellville Hospital at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 1974, having attained the age of 67 years 11 months and 6 days. He had been in failing health for the past month.

Born in Bellville on December 29, 1906, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Fisher. He was reared in Bellville and attended the public school here. A member of the Baptist Church, Mr. Fisher was engaged in raising watermelons, cattle and farming.

Mr. Fisher was married to the former Miss Edit Wolcik in 1926 in ceremonies performed in Sealy.

Survivors include: daughter, Mrs Mildred Lee Blingham; sisters, Mrs. Nonnie Schavrda of Houston, Mrs. Annie Belle Johnson of Rockport, Illinois, Mrs Blanche Mathis of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mattie Ellen Tarber of Channelview; brothers, Leon and Raymond Fisher of Bellville and Chester Fisher of San Francisco, California; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers, Clarence, Paul and Grat Fisher.
