Obituary Mrs. Raymond (Lena) Fisher Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Fisher, 81, of Bellville were held from the Chapel of the Pete E. Etlinger funeral home in Bellville at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, with Rev. Alvis Bell officiating. Entombment was in the Oak Knoll Mausoleum. Pallbearers were: Joe McCourt, Mark McCourt, Gary Hohlt, Tommie Cook, Marian Ruggles and T. D. Falk. Mrs. Fisher passed away at her home in Bellville at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 1978 having attained the age of 81 years, 8 months and 7 days. She had been in failing health for the past two years although cause of death was given as a heart attack. Born in Houston on March 27, 1897 she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boekelman. She was reared in Houston and attended the Houston Public School. She also attended Massey Business College. The former Miss Lena Boekelman was married to Raymond Fisher on September 15, 1926 in ceremonies performed in Houston. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: husband, Raymond Fisher of Bellville; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. |
