Funeral services for Otto J. Falk, Sr., 87, of Bellville, Texas were held on Saturday, January 17, 1998 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros./Etlinger Funeral Chapel in Bellville with Rev. Willie Rotter officiating. Interment was at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.

Serving as pallbearers were Adam Falk, Jon C. Falk, Dusty Falk, Curtis L. Beckham, David C. Peters and Mike Rybarski.

He was born Otto Julius Falk on December 20, 1910 in the Ives Creek Community, Texas to parents Charles D. Falk and Ida Isabell Shelburne Falk. He was raised in Ives Creek and attended the Ives Creek public schools. On November 26, 1941 he married the former Miss Lottie Mewis in Bellville.

Mr. Falk worked as a carpenter, and a farmer and rancher. He also worked for the Texas Department of Public Transportation in road maintenance for 18 years. Mr. Falk was a member of the Woodmen of the World organization. Otto J. Falk, Sr. died Thursday, January 15, 1998 in Bellville, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Lottie Falk of Bellville; daughters and sons-in-law, Ida and Rick Tenny of Wimberly, and Erma and Norman Coskey of Houston; sons and daughters-in-law, Otto and Lourene Falk, Jr. of Bellville, Larry and Shirley Falk of Industry, Jeff and Tess Falk of Bellville; step-son, Douglas Mewis and wife Cathy of Sugarland.

Grandchildren, Mike Rybarski of Wimberly, Shelly Hicks of Houston, Diana Coskey of Houston, Cindy Falk of Bellville, Suzanne Falk of Houston, Rachel Henderson of Pasadena, Becky Castillo of Sealy, Adam and Justin Falk, both of Bellville; step-grandchildren, Tamara Mewis of New York City, New York, and Bradley Mewis of New Haven, Connecticut: great-grandchildren, Camie Santana of Wimberly, Shelby Springs of Houston, Josh Oldag of Pasadena, and Jacob and Cecily Castillo of Sealy.

Sisters. Lollabelle Keilberg of Bellville, Sally Beckham of Trinity, and Kathleen Peters of Bryan; brother and sister-in-law T.D. and Hattie Falk of Bellville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Ida Isabell (Shelburne) Falk; sister, Isabell Canter; brothers, Douglas Falk Sr. and Charles Falk Jr. and granddaughter Alisa Rybarski.

Funeral services were held under the direction of Knesek Bros./Etlinger Funeral Chapel in Bellville.
