James “Jimmy” Richard Brown passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Jimmy was born on December 14, 1965, in Wharton, Texas, and was raised in Wallis, Texas which is where he resided upon his death. Jimmy graduated from Brazos High School, class of 1984, ITT Technical where he was recognized as Valedictorian in Computer and Electronics Engineering, DeVry with a B.S. in Technical Management, and Colorado Technical University with a Master in Information Technology. At the start of his career, Jimmy worked for Domino’s Pizza for over a decade eventually managing their Katy location for several years. At the time of his death, he worked for Hunting PLC in the subsea oil and gas industry. Jimmy was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church (Wallis), The Knights of Columbus Council 3793, KJT Catholic Union of Texas, and the Electronics Technicians Association.

Jimmy was an avid sports memorabilia collector throughout his life. He even had a small collectors shop for a short time where he sold and traded collectibles. In addition to his collectibles, Jimmy was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His Sundays were filled with NFL football, and he never missed a Steeler game. As much as he loved sports and the Steelers, his grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He spent many weekends with them and had a special bond with Mikey.

Beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and cousin, Jimmy is survived by his parents James Ray and Barbara Brown, his sister Diane Brown Jones, his children Pen Green (Ian), Jamie Brown (Geno), Jerrol Brown (Kelly), Chrysta Brown (Tristan) Cathryn Brown (Austin), Caitlyn Brown (Chris) as well as his dear grandchildren Jason, Kace, Genae, Abigayle, Hannah-Marie, Mikey and Dixie. He is preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Brown and his grandparents Richard and Mary Hranicky and J.H. Brown, Jr and Bernice Brown.

The Visitation is Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home at 122 N. 1st Street, Wallis, TX 77485 followed by the Rosary at 12:30 pm and the Funeral at 1:00 pm on January 6, 2023, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5610 Demel Street, Wallis, TX 77485.

Pallbearers are Tristan Belangia, Geno Montgomery, Chris Sedlar, Mitchell Mendez, Taylor Brown, and Ryan Brown.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Jones, Bryan Jones, and Austin Theut.
