Mary Lee (Rosenbaum) Cole, 78, of Brenham, widow of Montie Cole, Jr., passed away Dec. 7, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in College Station. Funeral services was scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer officiating. Burial followed at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mary Lee Cole was born Oct. 6, 1936 in Kenney to Ervin Godfred and Bernice Emma Loesch Rosenbaum. She was baptized March 28, 1937 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, and confirmed April 2, 1950 at St. John Lutheran Church of Bellville. She completed her education in Bellville schools, and on Sept. 2, 1955, she was married to Montie Cole, Jr. at First Christian Church of Brenham. Montie preceded her in death in 2009. Mary Lee was retired from Germania Insurance after 20 years of service, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law Wallene and Willie Ludwig, and Bonnie and Pete Demuth, all of Brenham; Martha and Larry Lischka of Bellville; sister-in-law Barbara Darilek; nieces and nephews: Cindy and Jeff Stueber, Melissa and Jim McCune, Kristie and Jeremy Chasteen, Michael Demuth and Crystal Raley, Jessica and Eric Kiihne, Troy and Kerry Lischka, Jason and Erin Lischka, Mark and Katie Lischka, Grant and Lanthia Lischka, Sherry Jordan, and Raymond Darilek, Jr.; great-nieces and great-nephews: Shelby, Ryan, Regan, and Randi Stueber; Caitlin and Ashlyn Gajewski, James McCune IV, Sidney, Sam, Spencer and Sutton Chasteen, Tanner, Corbin and Braden Demuth, Isaac Kiihne, Mason, Alex, Ross, Madeline, Ella, Emma, Sarah, Grace and Harper Lischka, Chris and Samantha Moss, Jesse Jordan; great-great nieces and nephews: Josh and Emily Moss. Also surviving are special friends, Florence and Leeland Rinn, Florence Klehm, Debby White, Linda and Alan Reid, Sally and Dale Meyer, and Raymond Darilek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Montie Cole, Jr; parents, Ervin and Bernice Rosenbaum, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Montie Sr. and Katie Cole. Serving as pallbearers are nephews Jeff Stueber, Jim McCune, Jeremy Chasteen, Michael Demuth, Eric Kiihne, Troy Lischka, Jason Lischka, Mark Lischka, and Grant Lischka. Honorary pallbearers are her church family at Grace Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church Radio Ministry of Brenham.
