Life Sketch
Rufus Campbell was a veteran of the Texas Revolution for Independence from Mexico and participated at the Battle of San Jacinto. He was re-interred at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Travis County on May 17, 1986.

He was a prominent citizen (Pier Diaries) of the Travis community and a friend of James Bradford Pier.

The State of Texas reinterned Mr. Campbell to the State Cemetery in Austin on May 17, 1986.
